The famous Vallée Blanche run can be reached by taking the cable car to the top of the Aiguille du Midi, a 20 minute ride. Some walking is required to reach the access to the huge Vallée Blanche and the Mont Blanc glacier, and 20 km of some of the world's finest skiing. While the Vallée Blanche run is not especially hard (suitable for intermediates and above), it should only be done with an experienced guide due to the many dangers posed by glacier skiing. At the bottom of the run more walking is necessary to ski back to the town of Chamonix.
The Mont-Blanc ski pass gives you access to 680 km of runs in Chamonix, Argentière, Le Tour, Les Houches, Les Contamines Montjoie, Combloux, Praz sur Arly, Cordon, Megève, Saint Gervais, Saint Nicolas de Véroce, Passy and Servoz.
